Easter 2015

EASTER TRAIL - Having St Mary’s Church so close is a real advantage when it comes to teaching the children about the most important Christian time of the year. The leaders and volunteers at church once again were able to put on the very popular Easter Trail for all of the children. It is built around the meaning of the different parts of the Easter story. The children always gain so much from the visit, which is interactive and thought provoking. Each class were able to spend time at church as well as attend our Easter Service on Friday. I would like to thank Pam van Rossum and Clare Jefferis for organising it so well and the volunteers who gave up their time. It is appreciated.

EASTER COMPETITON – It was lovely to see all of the entries for the Easter competition and the effort that had been put into the many and wonderful creative Easter hats, cards, baskets, gardens and decorated eggs. The children thoroughly enjoyed looking around the school at everyone’s creations. We found it very difficult to choose just one winner from each class as they were all so good. The winners are as follows: Toby Payne, Sienna Merlino, George Humphrey, Lily Harries, Lyla Wright, Yareni Jacobs, Chloe Chatfield, Finley Williams, Erin Ashenden, Charlotte Neary and Sophie Purnell. Well done to those children and everyone else who participated.
