Christmas Fayre

The school looked lovely as the lights twinkled over the building lighting up the darkness. The fayre was opened with the lovely sounds of Year 5 and 6 singing Christmas carols as people entered. The weather was mild and crisp and even so there were plenty of visitors to the fayre, which proved as popular as ever. The usual inside stalls were packed with goodies and items that sold very well for the two hours. Father Christmas was a very popular attraction, sat in his beautifully decorated grotto.  It was a pleasure to see so many people in the Hall and down the corridor waiting to visit Father Christmas. Thank you to all parents who sent in their donations for the stalls as well as cakes and items for the tombola. On behalf of the PA I would like to thank everyone who donated towards the impressive class hampers. They were much admired and looked great sat centre stage on the piano ready for raffling off. The winning classes for the hampers were Miss Webber’s and Mr Evens’ class. Each class wins a £25 book voucher donated by Almondsbury Parish Council.

Thank you also to the many parental volunteers who gave up their time to help set up, man the stalls and clear up after the fayre. Thank you to Vicki Laing and Diane Nichols for their raffle prizes as well as the stall holders at the fayre, much appreciated. Thank you to everyone who came and spent their money, the fayre raised approximately £1,700. A huge thank you to the PA who organised such a great evening and do so much to support the school. Many thanks to the Clements family once again for our very tall and lovely Christmas tree that adorns the Hall.
