African Children's Choir

Some of the Year 4 and 5 children sang alongside the African Children’s Choir, who are travelling around the country performing in different churches. They sang brilliantly, danced with such enthusiasm and eagerness that was totally infectious. The children were so happy to be performing for the packed St Mary’s church audience. The Almondsbury children sang two songs with them – Sing and This Little Light of Mine. Both sets of children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

The African Children’s choir then visited our school on Monday. They sang once more in Collective Worship with the rest of the school joining in the singing. After that they stayed for playtime and a maths lesson with the Year 5 and 6 children. It was a real pleasure to host these delightful children and gave our children an insight into their lives and education in Uganda (where these particular pupils come from).
