Marlwood Schools Cross Country

MARLWOOD CROSS COUNTRY – A team of 12 children from each of the key stage 2 year groups represented Almondsbury at the Annual Marlwood Cross Country event. The weather was not particularly kind and so the runners and supporters stood in the mud and rain as the children full of enthusiasm and support for each other ran around the track. Everyone did their utmost to try their best and finish as high up the field as possible. Some of the highlights were in Year 3 Joe Mead came  1st, Isaac Fleming 2nd followed by Alex Foulner in 4th , Libby Keel came 1st in the Year 4 girls race and Sam Williams was pipped at the post and came in 2nd in the Year 6 race. Overall Almondsbury won the Year 3 and 6 boys races. Well done to all of the children for running in such conditions and they should be very pleased by their performance.
