Day at Woodhouse Down

The whole school visited Woodhouse Down to take part in a variety of different outdoor and adventure activities. These ranged from cooking on the fire pit, making hot chocolate in the Kelly kettle, finding natural items to make a bookmark, exploring the grounds on a scavenger hunt, tackling the assault course, den building which needed to be waterproof, orienteering and archery.

The day is an opportunity to cover all the outdoor adventure, Art, Food and DT curriculum as well as promoting perseverance, cooperation and skills. The children all encouraged each other throughout the day, supporting each other on each activity.

All the children thoroughly enjoyed their day, as you can see from the photographs below. I would like to thank all the staff, especially Miss Higgott for organising such a marvellous day, as well as all the parents who helped so much throughout the day.
