Wednesday

Our Paris adventure was finally here! Ahh Paris…the city of love…the city of romance! La Tour Eiffel, l’arc de Triomphe, Assemblée Nationale, the Cloud Factory…we saw it all! The day began with the coach journey through the horrendous Parisienne traffic – our coach driver Derek was superb!

First stop – the Eiffel Tower. We all climbed the 669 steps up to the second level and took in the view of the city sprawled out in front of us. A quick stop in the gift shop, then back down the 669 stairs to the ground floor.

Our coach then took us to the Musee D’Orsay where Mr Smith gave us a tour of some of the famous exhibitions including the enormous cross section of the Paris Opera House and some of the impressionist paintings. Some of us recognised the Vincent Van Gogh painting ‘Starry Night’ which we recreated at school when we were in year 2!

Then it was a short trip from the museum to our river cruise where we were able to see the outside of the Louvre, Notre Dame and many other famous Paris landmarks. Toby, Joe, Alex, George and Noah managed to encourage 10 Parisians to return their dabbing from the river back. A huge achievement!

Then we returned to the chateau for a session in crepe making. Mmmm, they were delicious! And that was pretty much our day. Nothing else happened…oh no wait! It was Aela’s birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AELA!!

Well that it from us for tonight.

Bon nuit mon ami!

Love Year 6. xx
