In Year 1 when teaching Early Reading, we focus on learning the year 1 sounds following the Essential Letters and Sounds programme and also the year 1 harder to read and write words.

 In year 2 the children will continue following the Essential letters and Sounds Programme and will also be developing their reading comprehension skills. 

Reading books will be changed every Friday for the Year 1 children and every Monday  for the Year 2 Children.
