The weather and temperature was just perfect for a day of sports and racing. Both morning and afternoon sessions were started by the relay of the sports day baton and the reading of the athlete’s oath.  It was fantastic to see the children running, jumping (in sacks) and balancing those eggs on their spoons as they went down the race tracks. Everyone cheered and applauded their efforts. We do have some talented little athletes who perhaps will grace more illustrious tracks on day and even the Olympics. The points were collected at the end of the morning with the following result – Water were the winning house with 156 points, followed by Earth with 140 points, Sun with 112 and Air with 107 points. 

In the afternoon came the key stage 2 children who were super competitive and wanting to show off their own racing talents. Once again, everyone did their very best to win. However, as we know it is the participation that counts! After the races were concluded the winning house was Water with 204 points, Sun in second place with 190 points, next came Earth with 172 points, and finally Air with 160 points.
