France Friday
Sadly it was time to pack up, put our suitcases on the coach and head of back towards Almondsbury and Pilning.
After breakfast we said goodbye to our PGL leader Alain, and we were off to the chocolate factory in Laschelle.
Here we learnt all about the growing and harvesting of cocoa beans and how these are roasted and made into cocoa paste and butter to make chocolate. The smells were very tempting and we got to taste the cocoa at each stage of the chocolate making process.
Soon we were watching the chocolate turn into liquid to use in moulds to create the shells for the chocolates we were able to taste and buy in the shop. It was very nice and we all thoroughly enjoyed the tasting sessions.
From here it was a journey to the tunnel port in Calais and over to England. A stop off at a McDonalds for dinner was made before arriving back in Almondsbury.
It was a fantastic week for all.
